The 1800
model cat was introduced in 1959 and was known as the "Samoan" for the
1960 model year. It remained in
the product line till 1966 and was the
sales leader for many years. Sharing this same hull was the Day Cruiser
model of the 1800 which was called the "Tahitian" for the 1960 model year.
